Inequality of Race Incarcerated: the targetting of black and brown youth.
"When I was incarcerated and put into jail as a juvenile and then later as an adult, I saw that there was a lot of kids from the inner city....there were a lot of groups of friends, entire neighborhoods, entire counties of friends put together inside these institutions.....what it showed to me, knowing what the area was all about, was that white neighborhoods didn’t have the gangs in them and neighborhoods with different races (other than the Caucasian race) had numerous numbers of people incarcerated in that area and to me what that showed was a level of racism.”
